Most people know that Matt rode a buckskin Quarter Horse named Buck. But did you know that Buck was not the only buckskin horse Matt rode? Let's take a look at these beautiful horses.....
Buck has the lightest coloring of all the horses Matt rode. He has one white sock on his left rear along with a narrow, crooked blaze on his face and a shock of white hair at the base of his tail. Buck's mane falls to the left.
You can see Buck in S4 "The Patsy" and "Grass", S9 "Friend" and many more S9 episodes, and most of the later episodes in S20.
Another buckskin horse Matt rode is a much darker horse with an "A" branded on his left shoulder. He has all black legs. You can see this horse in "The Jackals", "The Hide Cutters", and the Mexican episode "Zavala."
The horse above is a stocky, compact horse with a dappled rump and solid black legs. His mane falls to the left. Matt rides him a lot in the earlier episodes including "Night Visitor" and "Never Pester Chester."
Buckskin horse number 4 is similar to the last one, except without the dappled rump, and his mane falls to the right. All black legs. You can see this horse in "Ma Tennis", "Smoking Out the Nolans", and "Wonder."
Horse number 5 I do not have a photo of. He has two white socks on his back legs, a small star on his forehead, and his mane falls left. Matt rode him on "Jeb", and "Quest for Asa Janin."
A sixth buckskin horse Matt rides in many episodes of Seasons 11 and 12, including "The Storm", "Clayton Thaddeus Greenwood," "Taps for Old Jeb," "Kioga," "Malachi," "The Avengers" and many more. This horse has three white socks, white hair at the base of his tail, some white hair in his mane, and mane falls left. He has a prominent white nose, although this photo doesn't really show that.
So now you know the many buckskin horses of Matthew Dillon!
